If you've recently moved to the Phoenix area or are just in town for a visit, it's sure that you're going to want to take in the sights. Even if you've lived in the city for the past decade it's sometimes a fun treat to visit those special places that make your home town unique. Well, whatever your reason, there are some attractions and hot spots that you need to see in Phoenix, no matter if you're an electronic design consultant in town for a business trip or a family making a cross-country tour. Here are some of the best places in Phoenix.

The Desert Botanical Garden - This site is fifty acres of pure natural beauty and contains 139 different endangered and threatened plant species from across the globe. Located in Papago Park, this wonder will open your eyes to the wonder of desert life. Plus, its convenient downtown location means that even if you're working all day on PPC campaigns you can take your lunch break among the flowers and trees.

Piestewa Peak - If you like a little more adventure with your outdoor attractions, you can climb this 1,190 foot elevation and once you reach the summit you'll have one of the best views available of the city. Somewhere between 4,000 and 10,000 residents and tourists alike use this trail on a weekly basis, making it one of the most traveled upon trails in the entire nation. So, maybe it's time to put those grower's supplies away one Saturday and get a little exercise while enjoying the outdoors.

Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse - This is a great place to spend the day with the kids or have a fun date night out without them. They have everything from a working blacksmith to staged gunfights and then you can finish your visit off at one of their many western-themed gift shops. Or, you can take in dinner and a show in the evening hours. Sometimes you just need to take a break from working in home healthcare and experience what life was like some years ago.

Chase Field - If you've got a baseball fan in the family they are sure to want to check out this historic location. Chase was the first field to have a retractable roof, a natural turf field, and air conditioning. There are also many trade shows and concerts held at this location. So, instead of taking in a game, you could check out a new swim diaper at a baby expo or see your favorite band play.
